Due to many factors, including the repatriation of numerous leasure craft to the UK during Covid, securing overnight visitor berths has become increasingly difficult.

This scarcity of visitor berths has been compounded by the organic growth in longer term marina berthing demand. Meanwhile, supply has remained constrained.

Not surprisingly, most popular marinas in prime locations are not keen on maintaining visitor spaces. There is a lot more money after all in letting out an annual mooring than a sporadic visitor berth.

At Berth Finda we go beyond simple "berth swapping".

Our secure and innovative platform enables our members to search for temporary overnight berths, wherever and whenever they are available.

You just pay a reservation fee of £50, which is usually less than the equivalent visitor berth rate.

The majority of this fee is passed on to the berthholder and the participating marina, while Berth Finda retains the balance for operating the service.

And when your reservation is confirmed, your own berth vacancy can be automatically added to the platform for other members to access.

So you can plan your next trip with greater choice and certainty than ever before.

Zero initial joining fee or annual charge. You just need to provide the key details of your craft and home mooring. An initial deposit of £50 payable by credit or debit card is required to activate your membership. This is credited to your secure online account to meet potential cancellation fees in the future.

Your Visitor Berth Search

  • Click location on map

  • Click on available marinas

  • Your boat specifications are recognised by your secure login

  • Enter required date which includes the night you wish to stay

  • If required berth available click on RESERVE BERTH

  • If required berth unavailable you can click on ADD TO WAITING LIST

  • Reservations run from 12 noon of day of reservation to 12 noon the following day.

  • Enter length and beam of your boat

  • Select area of required temporary berth

  • Select preferred location

  • Enter required date/s

  • View current availability

  • Confirm your selection

  • Join waiting list in case of user cancellation

Your booking will then be confirmed. This will be within four hours of submitting your reservation.

Once confirmed, we will send you a text and email.

Once you have booked a berth your regular berth will automatically become available for other Berthfinder users.

Should you need to cancel a berth, your berth will be automatically removed from listing. You will also incur a cancellation fee.

Should you need to cancel availability of your own berth you will incur a cancellation fee.

Booking Requirements

Your account must be in credit by a minimum of £50 before a reservation can be processed.

Disputes

Berth Finda shall act as the formal arbitrator in the case of disputes which may arise. Please see our Disputes Management Policy for further details.

Draft notes

Each user first registers with full details of boat dimensions and type.

Provides full details of existing mooring, size, location, any codes required. Pontoon number.

Initial deposit of £50 or £100 required for listing. This is so that cancellations can be redeemed from your berth holder account.

When reserving a berth, platform checks availble funds in account are there to meet berth holder cancellation first. If not, booker/owner is prompted to add payment.

Frequent cancellations who up on berth holders rating. Too many cancellations result in removal.

Updates any changes such as berth number as needed.

Platform send regular checking email/texts to ensure details are accurate.

Marina signs agreement. Provides payment details.

Platform records bookings and audit trail. PAys marina every 2 weeks?

Publishes clear disputes policy.

Marina publishes inclusion in scheme as a selling point to berthers.

Commenst/reviews section with each berth/user

Electrics usage assumes £4 max a day. Facility to charge more if incurred.

* Cancellations must be made online. All charges and compensation rates are per night of the relevant reservation. We respectully request that you cancel any bookings as soon as possible to ensure the best experience for all our members. In the unfortunate event that a berth you have reserved and had confirmed should not be available on the day, we will not be held liable. Please consider member's ratings if available before reserving your berth. It may still be possible to secure an overnight berth directly with the chosen marina at their standard rate.

Cancellation fees will be debited from your member's account within five business days. Refunds and compensation payments where applicable will be credited within five business days to the payment card used when making your reservation. Reservations are non-transferable.
